impressions
VISUAL.
6' 0"/183cm, fit, unobstructed gait. Good posture, former military. Brown eyes, dark brown hair. Usually clean-shaven but sometimes with stubble or a mustache.
AUDIBLE.
General American accent, smooth, typically calm. Also speaks Spanish.
OLFACTORY.
Definitely smells like fire and sweat a lot, but usually cleans up nice and smells of generic soap, aftershave, has multiple bottles of cologne.

LOVING.
First and foremost, Eddie's a guy who has strong relationships and loves deeply. He cares so much for his son, for his friends, and his best friend in particular. He has a decent relationship with a lot of his family, but he has a strained relationship with his parents.
BRAVE.
Eddie was originally in the army as a staff sergeant, but has since become a firefighter with advanced medical training, though he's not a licensed paramedic. He rushes into danger, and doesn't leave until he's certain it's secure.
RESOURCEFUL.
Many times, Eddie doesn't have the proper equipment or ideal situation to be performing stunts or applying medical care, but he tries his best to do what he can.
STALWART.
Eddie has excellent endurance skills, and he always pushes through a situation regardless of injury or danger to his person. He refuses to give up or give in, even to detriment of himself.
COMPOSED.
As a former army medic, he performs well under pressure and is both competent and calm, on a professional level. On a personal level, it's a different story.
AVOIDANT.
Eddie isn't exactly the best with confronting his own feelings, and often bottles them up until he explodes or has panic attacks regarding something he's trying to hide. He's averse to interpersonal conflict, often to a terrible result. And yes, sometimes this also makes him a horrible communicator.
REPRESSSED.
Yes, this deserves a second section from avoidant. Eddie has always tried to do what's expected of him from the moment that he was charged as the "man of the house" at ten years old. He's private, he's independent, he has a giant reservoir of Catholic guilt, and a random priest he gave confession to stopped him and told him he was denying himself joy.
DRAMATIC.
Despite making fun of telenovelas, sometimes Eddie just has a flair for the dramatic. This also comes from repressing his own feelings, resulting in a blowup. Mostly, he doesn't realize when his actions are harmful, and he has issues with his temper.
SKEPTICAL.
Unlike his colleagues, he doesn't believe in superstitions. Also unlike his colleagues, he's distrusting of new technologies that have too much information.

Eddie was a soldier for the US military, and also as a first responder has had his fair share of experiencing incidents including fires, accident and injury, natural disasters, kidnapping, etc, but will not share gruesome or personal details about any of these experiences. He suffers from PTSD, and occasionally has panic attacks related to personal commitment issues.Other topics that may come up include references to his deceased wife, previous custody arguments with his parents regarding his son, that time he was in an underground fight club, and references to old injuries like being shot.

Yes! Eddie is a very friendly and easygoing guy so he would gladly befriend your character unless they are evil.
